KAWASAKI ENGINES AND POWER PRODUCTS DIVISION NAMES NEW DISTRICT MANAGER IN NORTHEAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Jan. 13, 2009)—Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.’s Engines and Power Products Division has named Russell Corey to assume district field sales responsibility for a portion of the Northeast market. Corey will be responsible for the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, as well as New York’s Long Island. Corey brings extensive landscape industry background to the District Manager position which focuses on dealer support in both the handheld power products and engine categories. Most recently, he served in landscape design, product management, and sales for a Durham, N.C. company. The new Kawasaki DM, who graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in landscape design, has also garnered significant experience in project management, customer relations and sales program implementation. According to Kawasaki’s Karen Howard, National Sales Manager, Dealer Channel, “Russell will adapt very quickly to our system and provides extensive hands-on experience in a core segment of our business that is undergoing significant growth.” Kawasaki’s DMs are the primary conduit between the company and its large network of authorized dealers. The position offers in-depth support with program management, product ordering, and promotional activities to the dealers as they develop their individual markets. Corey, an avid outdoors enthusiast plays golf and tennis, rides off-road, and is a devoted angler during his free time. He will make his home in Conshokocken, Penn., just outside of Philadelphia. Kawasaki Engines and Power Products, a division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., distributes gasoline engines and professional handheld power products for landscape, industrial, and consumer markets.
